A Short History about Me...

     I was born and raised in Brighton, Michigan.  Ever since I was 5 and the veterinarian saved my cat I knew I was going to be a Veterinarian.  Therefore upon graduation I headed to Michigan State University.  I ended up earning a BS in Zoology and was going to explore the world's wildlife.  However I ended up falling in love and living in Kalamazoo.  The only opportunity I found to work with wildlife was the Binder Park Zoo.  I worked as an education specialist at Binder Park Zoo for 3 years.  I found that I loved teaching people so I went to Olivet College to gain my teachers ceritification.  I have been teaching for 18 years now and look forward to getting to know you in my classroom this year!

My husband,sons, and I have a goal to vacation in each of the 50 states.  This photograph was taken at the Smokey Mountains in Gaitlinburg Tennessee.  Our sons could not get enough of racing down the mountain in the Alpine sleds.  My eldest son's band is going to Disney World in Florida this spring so Florida is our next state.  I am so excited as I have wanted to go to Disney ever since I was  child!
